– Function

Information Technology

– Job Summary

Maintaining information technology strategies of HPA & DAA by organizing, planning, prioritizing, assigning and reviewing the work of assigned Information technology staff; Researching, Recommending and implementing information technology strategies solutions; monitoring and evaluate policies and procedures practices.

– Job Specifications

Education : B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Experience : (10) years of experience in a related position, of which at least (3) years in a managerial position

Contract Management:

– Assesses contract performance by monitoring performance indicators and negotiates contract according to organizational processes

– Defines a backup strategy in line with the disaster management strategy, monitors file storage policy compliance by users, identifies critical areas and conducts detailed backup tests to assure data integrity

ACTIVITIES, DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES

Strategic

– Recommending information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.

– Maintaining organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies

– Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

– Ensuring that work activities are carried out achieving the pre-set performance goals, and suggesting any necessary actions to the direct supervisor

Technical & Executive

– Developing HPA & DAA IT function’s roadmaps and work-plans, as well as ensuring that they are in line with Hikma Group’s strategy

– Verifying application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented

– Managing the activities within HPA & DAA IT function, as well as providing technical support as needed in order to ensure smooth operation of different functions and satisfaction of personnel

– Monitoring the progress of IT projects on a continuous basis, and ensuring that project timelines and milestones are being met in compliance with the set plans

– Accomplishing financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.

– Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards

– Suggesting plans and programs to boost the effectiveness of HPA & DAA IT functions

– Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures

– Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

– Ensure all IT Governance, SPO’s, Policies & Audits are in alliance with Hikma Corporate IT Governance & Audit Polices

– Ensure alignment of IT platforms, systems and networks with Hikma Corporate IT Department

Administrative

– Preparing periodic reports with respect to the HPA & DAA IT function’s activities and achievements to be submitted to the direct Manager

– Maintaining staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.

– Recommending training needs of subordinates and evaluating the outcomes of training courses in coordination with the concerned human resources personnel

– Conducting performance appraisals for subordinates according to scheduled plans and recommending necessary actions as per the applied practices

– Following up on subordinates’ administrative affairs such as: vacations, leaves…etc.

– Conducting periodic meetings with subordinates to follow up on the smooth running of activities and keeping abreast with latest business-related practices

– Nominating a deputy to carry out the responsibilities of the position whenever the need arises

Internal

– HPA & DAA IT Function: To provide training, support and assistance to personnel

– HPA Other Functions: To provide IT support when needed

– HR Function: To coordinate the recruitment of new IT personnel

– To coordinate the performance appraisal and training issues

External

– Vendors/ Suppliers: To coordinate any software and hardware procurement issues including installation and maintenance agreements

– IT Support Companies: To provide outsourced IT support
