This is an exciting opportunity to manage an existing business portfolio and execute product portfolio development through marketing and BD activities to ensure business growth and sustainable results in selected areas.

LG Algérie

Reporting to the Maghreb and FSA (French Speaking Africa) GM and located in either Dubai (UAE) or Algiers (Algeria), the right incumbent is expected to do the following responsibilities:

– Create Marketing Plans and tactics for product portfolio development for OTC products in Cough and Cold and Pain segment – identify gaps and formulate adequate life-cycle strategies and build UPSA competitiveness

– Lead BD activities by screening markets, by identifying new products / partners and opportunities and also provide expertise in deal valuations

– Optimize value of existing assets through geographical expansion or distributor agreements for UPSA assets

– Manage UPSA Product Manager and lead appropriate BD cross-functional team and related activities on a routine basis including Marketing, Finance, Regulatory, Medical

– Deliver effective Marketing plans and business cases to the GM and any empowered BMS bodies to drive decision

– Manage the existing partners in FSA (French Speaking Africa) and Maghreb countries currently marketing or manufacturing UPSA products. Follow up on execution of plans and contracts

– Establish Annual budgets, resource allocation and Strategic plans for the UPSA portfolio

– Guarantee cross-functional alignment with GMS

– Ensure a connection with France and UPSA International markets to leverage value of opportunities set up there

Compétences et profil recherché:

Critical Knowledge/Functional Abilities

– In-depth knowledge & understanding of OTC and/or pharmaceutical products and their life-cycle

– Experience in developing business cases for senior level approval

– Ability to connect with commercial, GRS, GMS & financial throughout the organization

– Broad critical and strategic thinking skills

– Strong Project management abilities for driving execution path

– Ability to analyze and segment product portfolio

– Strong marketing background and Strategic vision. Experience in deals and contract negotiation

– Willingness to travel extensively (50% of time) across MEA

Leadership Abilities

– Proven leadership ability with demonstrated results through influence management

– Strong collaborator with an ability to work cross-functionally to achieve results

– Creative ability to appropriately represent and convey value messages

– Superior written and verbal communication skills in French & English  including comfort level with senior management presentations

Qualifications Required

– Minimum 12 years of experience within the Pharma or FMCG industry in various roles notably in Commercial, Finance & Strategy

– MBA or equivalent in Sales and Marketing

– Demonstrated experience in a multi-cultural environnement

– Fluent in French & English is a must
