Function:
– To supervise coring operations following Corpro operating procedures
– To provide coring expertise to the customer at wellsite,
– To ensure that the coring jobs are run in a safe and efficient manner,
– To evaluate, analyze job data and make technical recommendations to improve the coring performance.
Responsibilities:
– Responsible for checking at the base that the coring equipment (prepared by the Material Man) is fit for purpose prior to dispatching to the rig site;
– Check coring equipment & organize working area upon arrival at the rig site;
– Responsible for pre-job and tool box safety meetings at the rig site;
– Responsible for training and appraising junior personnel at the rig site;
– Operate the coring equipment from surface to down-hole as per Corpro operating procedures;
– Ensure all operational paperwork is completed and forwarded to the coring coordinator in timely manner & as per Corpro’s internal procedures. (Service ticket, Coring field report, run report, EDF, TAF & WAF);
– Responsible for rig site HSE procedures and reporting (PIN system);
– Responsible for preparing the inventory after job completion and equipment return from the rig site to the base.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
– Two year Technical degree preferred.
– Industry experience in the field (Coring or Drilling)
– Strong communication and inter-personnel skills; should understand customers’ needs and expectations.
– Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
– Good verbal & written communication skills.
Additional Requirements:
– Able to work on flexible rotation system
