Key responsibilities:
– Managing and ensuring GE / GSI EHS procedures application
– Coordinate and provide the weekly tool box meeting topics during the work execution.
– Monitor and provide permits (Permit to work, excavation, confined spaces, hot works permits…etc)
– Manage EHS incident and injury reporting within specified local country EHS guidelines. Conduct
– Timely follow-up investigations
– Maintaining all rigging plans at sites during the work execution
– Maintain an effective Accident Prevention Program in support of GSII’s zero tolerance safety goal
– Ensure that Supervisors and all other employees of GSII are informed of GSII’s Safety Policies and EHS standards
– Be proactive in approach by staying abreast of and communicating the latest safety trends
– Be prepared for unannounced local country EHS audits and inspections
– Travel to job sites to conduct safety audits and training
– Establish good communications with site supervisors and customers
– Deliver or organize any GE/GSII job specific training when needed
– Interface with GE’s and or other customer regional and site safety personnel
– Organize and co-ordinate for safety equipment arrival/storage/distribution as required.
Required qualifications/experience:
– Candidate will need to have at least four (4) years experience in a similar position.
– EHS accreditations and/or the equivalent in EHS training and experience
– Bachelor’s Degree
– Fluent in both French & English
– Excellent interpersonal skills
– Excellent EHS knowledge and expertise
– Excellent analytical skills
– Excellent presentation and training skills
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Effective planning and organizing abilities
– Effective leadership and management skills
– Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
