To create or modify engineering drawings and bills of material for FEED, meeting specification, delivering it within schedule and budget
The candidate Must have experience of the following:
– Plan, organise and report on assigned aspects of the design process
– Provide a service to others in checking work and providing technical support
– Under minimal supervision, investigate and retrieve all data required to develop designs.
– Prepares preliminary sketches and/or schematic diagrams.
– Performs moderate to complex computer aided designs with emphasis on functionality, manufacturing and maintainability.
– Prepares designs having distinctive design features that can differ significantly from established drafting precedents.
– Assist in the preparation of drafting estimates.
– Handles special projects, as assigned.
– Liaising with Engineers to produce P&ID’s, equipment layouts, General Arrangements and Electrical Schematics.
– Updating CAD register with appropriate drawing information on an ongoing basis
Qualifications:
– Minimum 5 years of experience
– knowledge, skill and experience must embrace the industry’s accepted drafting standards and those specifications set out in API, AISI standards etc.
– HNC/D or Degree in relevant discipline
– Mechanical design and system configuration.
– Process understanding and System Design.
– Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar Drafting system and 3-D modelling
– Good theoretical and practical knowledge
– Good interpersonal skills
– Must be fluent in English (Read, write, Speak)
