Function:

– To legally represent the Company before the Algerian administration and authorities,

– To manage Company’s internal resources (staff and equipment) and achieve the expected level of revenue and profitability;

– To ensure that the local structure is fully compliant with the Company procedures and processes in terms of administration, finance, operations, HSE and quality;

– To establish and maintain excellent relationships with NOCs & IOCs;

– To manage Algerian staff with hiring, training, personnel development and performance monitoring;

Responsibilities:

– Ultimately responsible for planning and managing all operations and resources in Algeria (inventory, personnel and investments);

– Be fully aligned with company strategic objectives and implement organization’s policies;

– Manage the local staff and create a working environment that motivates and retains key individuals;

– Ensure that the Company is fully compliant with local laws, local administration, regulations and other requirements necessary to operate in Algeria;

– Produce each year a detailed business operating plan and define required resources to achieve this plan;

– Report to management as per Company’s procedures and ensure that proper financial controls are in place;

– Responsible for tendering, pricing strategy, contract management & business development;

– Client facing, coring performance monitoring & delivery of service quality as per Company’s international standards;

– Monitor and optimize sales process;

– Ensure good relationships with all clients & vendors and promote company image in country;

– Find cost effective local solutions when appropriate;

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

– Must be educated to degree level in petroleum engineering, with financial qualifications or training;

– Minimum of 10 years management experience in the Oil & Gas sector either through international assignments or working for international companies in Algeria;

– Strong leadership with excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills at all levels with a cultural open minded character & adaptability;

– Knowledge of modern office practices & familiar with computer software programs eg PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.

– Must be able to communicate effectively in French & English languages;

Additional Requirements:

– A full clean driving license
