Algeria-Portugal: For partnership based on technology transfer

Economic operators in Oran (432 km west of Algiers) stressed, at a meeting Wednesday with Portuguese businessmen, the need to forge a partnership based on technology transfer, especially in renewable energy, electricity, agriculture, construction and public works.

According to the first vice president of Oran’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIO), Mouffok Mohamed Amine, training and technology transfer are two key elements in any partnership with economic operators interested in the Algerian market. « We do not want a partnership based on trade relations. We want a partnership based on exchange of expertise and subcontracting, particularly in construction and public works, » said the representative of a company specializing in real estate development in Oran.
